Depending upon jaw alignment, you may benefit from the use of a soft night splint. This splint allows the teeth and jaw to close at night in the properly aligned position. When the jaw is properly aligned, the muscles attached to it are able to relax, and clenching and grinding of teeth can be reduced. Specific chiropractic adjustments that target the joint, along with massage and a night splint, can be very helpful in reducing the pain associated with TMJ disorders.
